Brand Identity + Menu design

For this project, I have created a well-refined brand identity design for the Wintec-run restaurant that fits the brief from the client. We chose the name Wetlands to represent the carrying of knowledge and sharing of this within the space and also nod to the natural inspiration of the Waikato Awa. The key values I have represented in my creative direction are ‘organic’, ‘fluid’,
‘refined’, and ‘contemporary’. The target age range of older guests and younger students was considered throughout the process of designing, reflected in the colour palette, typefaces &
overall style of the brand.
My logo design references these values with strong fluid, organic shapes creating this water-like abstract pictorial mark that is distinct and appropriate for the brand. I have used a serif typeface within this to match and balance the width of the pictorial mark elements and give a refined, contemporary sense that is stated in our brand values.
I have created menu designs for both their lunch and dinner menus to make service easier to manage for the students working at Wetlands (swap out the menu’s for the evening to avoid confusion.) I have made these different colours to make a distinct separation between them
so it is easier to swap these out for lunch/dinner service. I have also made the design of these
very similar for unity and consistency throughout the brand as these are related applications.
